Salient features of S & H

A total of 8 recommendations have been endorsed as the salient features of Simplification and Harmonization. These are as follows:

A. PROGRAMME PREPARATION AND APPROVAL

1. Harmonize Terminology and Structure of Programme Documentation and Introduce Terminology and Practice of Results Based Management;
2. Introduce tools and Process to Strengthen Link between UNDAF & Country Programme
• Use of Improved UNDAF Programme Framework Matrix
• Joint Strategy Meeting with National Partners
3. Use of Common Tools for Operational Planning (Country Programme Action Plan) and the Annual Project Work Plan

B. IMPLEMENTATION INCLUDING FINANCIAL PROCEDURES

4. Harmonize National implementation modalities
5. Prepare Revised Guidance Note on Joint Programming

C. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

6. Introduce Standard Progress Reports
7. Introduce Collaborative Monitoring and Evaluation, including Outcome Evaluation
8. Provide Access to Evaluative and Best Practices Information
