Ms. Elizabeth Lwanga
Resident Coordinator,
UN System Operational Activities for Development in Kenya


Ms Lwanga has taken up the position of Resident Coordinator for Kenya starting 6 October 2006. Until recently Ms Elizabeth Lwanga was the Deputy Director, Regional Bureau for Africa-UNDP where she ensured Gender mainstreaming was incorporated by UNDP as an essential ingredient to the development process.The new RR is no stranger to heading a country office.

She previously held the post of Resident Representative in Swaziland where she spear-headed many initiatives to fight the HIV/AIDS scourge. Ms Elizabeth Lwanga-a Ugandan national, is very passionate about Media development in Kenya having worked for Kenya Broadcasting Co-oporation which was then called - Voice of Kenya.
