What is the objective of UNDAF?

The UNDAF gives renewed impetus to the role of development operations in advancing the core missions of the UN system and promoting the vision and principles of the UN Charter. To this end, it aims for greater impact of UN system co-operation on development and well-being of the people.

What is the scope of UNDAF?

The UNDAF serves as the common frame of reference for the strategy and country programme documents (or other similar instruments), as well as any joint programme documents, used by participating UN system organizations for development co-operation at country level.

What is the duration of the UNDAF?

The UNDAF has the same duration as the harmonized programme cycles of the UN system, which should be synchronized, whenever possible, with the national development cycle.
